The ancient healing system of Ayurveda found that three basic forces; the Tridosha (Kapha, Vata and Pitta) exist in every human being and influence all metal and physical processes. We are born with a particular balance of these Doshas our body type; temperature and susceptibility to illness are largely governed by our predominant Dosha.
Kapha people tend to have the most stable and grounded nature of the three Dosha types. When balanced, they are as solid and centered as a mountain – consistent, calm, patient, and thorough. Good listeners and caregivers, balanced Kaphas are loving, peaceful, compassionate and supportive. If out of balance, Kapha people may become controlling, greedy and materialistic. When completely out of balance, they become lethargic and lazy. Although Kapha people are slow to anger, their explosive range is uncontainable when finally provoked.
Kapha types gain weight easily and are usually well nourished and healthy. Once they learn something, they seldom forget it. Their friendly, open dispositions makes them excellent managers, but their stable nature can lead to mental and emotional dullness. Kapha types benefit from pungent and revining scents that break up their natural inclination towards lethargy.
Put your Kapha pillow among your bed pillows to inhale scents while sleeping. Knead pillow softly to awaken scent. Your pillow will remain pungent up to 6 months after packing is removed, depending on climate condition.
If you wish to clean your pillow cover, remove it and gently hand wash in cool water with a mild soap
